Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Basic, gentle soft tissue techniques for your patient care

This course introduces the concept of movement therapy and performance enhancement via Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). The tools may be hard-edged, but the techniques don’t need to be aggressive. Dysfunctional movement screening patterns will be reviewed along with corresponding soft tissue tools to improve patient outcomes. The anatomy, physiology and neurology of myofascial soft tissue work are covered. The course is intended to be a workshop—a hands-on environment.

Amy Walsh

Amy Walsh is a former professional soccer player and Olympian who loves teaching movement to people of all walks of life. Amy’s strength-based classes blend mobility and body awareness through the use of therapeutic massage balls, breath work, bodyweight exercises, locomotion, and multi-planar movement.
