{"id":16378,"date":"2023-06-13T16:31:05","date_gmt":"2023-06-13T20:31:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ctsq.qc.ca\/devenir-membre\/"},"modified":"2025-10-01T10:24:58","modified_gmt":"2025-10-01T14:24:58","slug":"devenir-membre","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ctsq.qc.ca\/en\/devenir-membre\/","title":{"rendered":"Becoming a Member"},"content":{"rendered":"[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The <em>Corporation des th\u00e9rapeutes du sport du Qu\u00e9bec<\/em> has two main categories of members:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u25cf \u00abStudent\u00bb members<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf \u00abAthletic therapist\u00bb members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<h5><strong>\u00abStudent\u00bb Members<\/strong><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Individuals wishing to join the Corporation must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Be currently enrolled in an approved athletic therapy university program<\/li>\n<li>Fill out the online registration between August 1st and September 30<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Any request received outside this time window will be ignored. \u00abStudent\u00bb members must accept to stand by the CTSQ&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/ctsq.qc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/01\/Code-dethique-et-de-conduite-CTSQ-2021.pdf\">Ethics Code<\/a> as well as any other regulations voted by the Corporation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00abStudent\u00bb members who maintained their memberships for at least two full years before successfully attempting the certification exam will have the following advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u25cf Discounted registration fees<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Discount on their first annual fee as a professional<\/li>\n<li>\u25cf Welcoming gift<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;16309&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_outline_circle_2&#8243; border_color=&#8221;sky&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]\n<h5><strong>\u00abAthletic Therapist\u00bb Members<\/strong><\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;16px&#8221;][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;16293&#8243; alignment=&#8221;center&#8221; style=&#8221;vc_box_shadow_3d&#8221;][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Individuals wishing to register to the Corporation have to provide:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Proof of certification exam success<\/li>\n<li>Professional liability insurance contract<\/li>\n<li>Group insurance plan&#8217;s\u00a0form<\/li>\n<li>Sports First Responder certification<\/li>\n<li>Valid Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s residency address<\/li>\n<li>Any other documents requested by the Corporation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Depending on the time frame between the individual&#8217;s certification and their registration request, a more in-depth analysis of the registration may be needed and additional criteria might be requested.
