The Corporation des thérapeutes du sport du Québec has two main categories of members:

• ● «Student» members
• ● «Athletic therapist» members

«Student» Members

Individuals wishing to join the Corporation must meet the following criteria:

1. Be currently enrolled in an approved athletic therapy university program
2. Fill out the online registration between August 1st and September 30

Any request received outside this time window will be ignored. «Student» members must accept to stand by the CTSQ’s Ethics Code as well as any other regulations voted by the Corporation.

«Student» members who maintained their memberships for at least two full years before successfully attempting the certification exam will have the following advantages:

• ● Discounted registration fees
• ● Discount on their first annual fee as a professional
• ● Welcoming gift

«Athletic Therapist» Members

Individuals wishing to register to the Corporation have to provide:

1. Proof of certification exam success
2. Professional liability insurance contract
3. Group insurance plan’s form
4. Sports First Responder certification
5. Valid Québec’s residency address
6. Any other documents requested by the Corporation

Depending on the time frame between the individual certification and their registration request, a more in-depth analysis of the registration may be needed and additional criteria might be requested. Moreover, «athletic therapist» members have to subscribe to CTSQ’s group insurance plan as mandated by the health-care law.
